What makes matworks different?
Sessions are held in a private, relaxed environment, where you can work out in comfort and really enjoy your Pilates experience. Sessions will include a wide variety of exercises including mat work, small props and specialised Pilates equipment such as Barrel, Chair, Cadillac, Reformer and Pedopull. Each session is 55 minutes long.
The MatWorks Pilates instructors are passionate people, who help clients get results.
What is premium pilates?
MatWorks Premium Private lessons will meet you where you are at. If you are brand new, we will start slow and work at your pace to help you achieve your goals. If you are a seasoned Pilates practitioner, then your instructor will work with you to develop a training schedule where every exercise is tailored to your individual needs and helps you achieve your goals.
how does it work?
#1 It’s best to start with our 3 for 2 intro deal!
first session
For your first session when you are brand new, your instructor will move slowly through a series of basic exercises.
second session
In your second session your instructor will run over what you learnt the first time, and begin to progress you onto new equipment so you can have a try of everything!
third session
By your third session, you should be starting to get a feel for what type of class suits you, or possibly you will want to stick with privates for a bit longer. Either way, your instructor will help you to feel confident with whatever direction you want to go in.
#2 Now your instructor will help you decide what would be best for you going forward.
For our intro deal only, our pricing doesn’t change for the first 3 people, so if you’d like to share your intro sessions it’s best if one person does the booking and you email us to let us know you will be sharing your session!

We specialise in Pre + Post Natal Pilates.
If you are looking for something wonderful and safe to do for your body during or after pregnancy, Pilates is it. Come to us and we will take you through many wonderful, supportive exercises to give you all the tools you need to strengthen your body for this awesome time in your life.

FAQ'S
What should I wear?
Wear comfortable clothing that isn’t revealing and socks. Sticky one’s if you have them!
Do I need a mat?
No, you don’t need a mat. At our premium Remuera studio we have everything you will possibly need! Just bring yourself and some socks!
Do you have parking?
Yes we have great parking at our Remuera studio. It’s apart of the Remuera Racquets Club so there are around 30 off road parking spaces.
Can I have my baby with me?
Unfortunately we cannot host babies at our studio. This is time to prioritise you and have some time away from bubs!
